Saudi visa files submitted from Egypt pass through two systems, and knowing which one a file belongs to — and in what order they are used — prevents most of the delays applicants run into.
The two platforms
Enjaz is the channel through which Saudi visa applications are processed from Egypt. The Unified National Visa Platform is the Saudi government’s own platform for visa matters. Which one applies to a given file depends on the visa type and on what the Saudi side has asked for, and that is a question to settle before anything is paid for or submitted.
Documents come before the platform
A visa file is only as good as the documents behind it. Where those documents were issued in Egypt — a birth certificate, a marriage certificate, a family registration extract — they generally need attestation before they are of any use to a Saudi authority, and attestation runs in a fixed order: the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs first, then the Saudi consulate.
Submitting a file before the underlying documents are attested is the single most common reason it comes back.
What slows files down
- A passport too close to expiry. Check the remaining validity before anything else.
- Name spellings that differ between the passport, the certificates and the application itself.
- Attestation done out of order, or skipped entirely because the applicant assumed the platform would accept an untouched document.
- Documents issued years ago where the receiving side expects a recently issued copy.
